The 3rd Annual Conference of the Bloomsbury Libraries & eLearning Group

Following the success of the previous years' meetings bringing together library staff and learning technologists from the Bloomsbury Colleges, we are pleased to announce this year's Library and eLearning Conference. This year's event will be based around the use of social media and how libraries are making use of web2.0 technologies such as blogs, wikis, Twitter and Facebook. It will take place at the Institute of Education's Media Centre on the afternoon of Friday 29th July.

Echo360 Showcase 2011
On Friday 8th April 2011 we held an Echo360 showcase with over 40 people coming along to find out how Echo 360 is used across our Colleges here in Bloomsbury and beyond. Excellent case studies were presented highlighting how Echo 360 is used and why students love it. In addition, we also heard about the challenges that lecture capture brings.

Elluminate Showcase 2011
The Elluminate event held in Bloomsbury on 11th February was extremely successful, with over 70 people (virtual and in the flesh) coming along to find out what Elluminate is and how it is used across our Colleges here in Bloomsbury. Four excellent case studies were presented highlighting how Elluminate is used to:
-enable students from all over the world to learn together and interact in innovative ways (IOE)
-deliver Continuing Professional Development (RVC)
-teach students new languages (SOAS)
-deliver distance learning to global students (LSHTM)
