Halls of Residence Carbon Contest - 20 by 2015

The Bloomsbury Colleges are getting involved with the whole of the University of London and supporting students in Halls of Residence to Cut Carbon at their Hall.

You can register your interest online at www.20by2015.co.uk

When you register interest

We will keep you in touch about the Halls Carbon Contest. The initial focus is helping recruit others to help in your hall. This will be at Freshers Fayre (30th Sep + 1st Oct) and then you will be able to run your own stall in your hall in the first two weeks of Oct to get more people.

At Freshers'

Come along to the ULU Freshers Fayre (30th Oct, 12noon - 5pm) and help on our stall. We will be aiming to get as many people as possible pledging on the website and agreeing to do their bit.

From this you should come away with a team of students keen to help out in your hall. You will then get them together in the next week or so to arrange a stand in your own hall to get more pledges of support and generally spread the message.

Competition

This is running with monthly prizes for the hall that does the best. The first month (October) is focussing on number of pledges from each hall. The hall with the highest %age of pledgers wins. Subsequent months will focus on other areas, but all focussed on making a positive difference. Your involvement in helping arrange things for your hall can be as little or much as you like.

Prizes: There will be a monthly prize for the top performing hall! These include hampers, and workshops and other exciting gifts and experiences. You will also get the recognition from your peers and the college that you are really making a difference. This is a great selling point to future employers.
